PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a base material for printing having high hiding power and excellent printability without a failure.SOLUTION: A method of manufacturing a base material for printing whose one surface is a printing surface on which a print layer is mounted and whose other surface is an adhesive laminate surface on which an adhesive layer is mounted includes: a step of obtaining a resin film (1) with a hiding layer by laminating the hiding layer on the other surface of the adhesive laminate surface of the resin film whose one surface is an adhesive laminate surface; and a step of laminating the other surface of the print surface of the resin film (2), whose one surface is the print surface on which the print layer is mounted, on the hiding layer of the resin film (1). The method enables the base material for printing having high hiding power and excellent printability to be manufactured without a failure of the print surface.
