PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem that, in a case where an original roll manufactured by a paper machine is carved in a predetermined width by a slitter, a tensile of the original roll degrades because of moisture that is contained in the original roll, resulting in degraded sharpness of the slitter, disabling carving of the original roll.SOLUTION: A slitter includes an anvil roll 20 which is rotary-driven and in which an annular groove 23 is formed on an outer peripheral surface, with one side surface of the annular groove 23 being a side surface blade 23a, and a disc-like rotary blade 21 whose one portion enters the annular groove 23 of the anvil roll 20 in such a manner as an outer peripheral side edge part is pressed against the side surface blade 23a, successively cuts a band-like web inserted between the anvil roll 20 and the rotary blade 21, and is equipped with a heating means for heating the anvil roll 20. |
