PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hollow molded body excellent in hermetic properties and a method for manufacturing the hollow molded body.SOLUTION: A method for manufacturing a hollow molded body includes a step of: using a container made by molding a forming material including a thermoplastic resin and a lid made by molding a light transmitting material; and laser-fusing a contact part of the top part of the sidewall and the lid while sealing a space surrounded by a sidewall of the container and a bottom part with the lid. A width LA of the contact part of the top part on the sidewall of the container and a width LB of the melted part of the contact part satisfies the following expression (I): 0.2≤ LB/LA ≤ 0.9.
