PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a determination method of notch factors capable of easily obtaining a notch factor at a low cost.SOLUTION: The determination method of notch factors includes: performing a fatigue test using two test pieces in which notches with different notch tip radii are formed; obtaining stress distributions in the depth direction of the notches when fatigue lives of the two test pieces become equal; obtaining a characteristic distance that is a distance from the notch tips where integrated values of stress from the notch tips in the obtained two stress distributions become equal; setting a fracture process zone of the test piece on the basis of the obtained characteristic distance; obtaining characteristic distance average stress as the average stress from the notch tip to the characteristic distance in the notch shape of an evaluation object; and calculating a notch factor Kby the expression (1). |
