PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of accurately performing initialization of an inductance sensor even with dew condensation on a surface of a photosensitive drum in attaching a drum cartridge to the image forming apparatus body without providing a temperature sensor within the drum cartridge.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus executes an adjustment mode of charging conditions under which a photosensitive drum is charged by a charging roller after a drum cartridge is attached to an image forming apparatus body (S103) as well as a detection by an AC current value measurement circuit (S104). Next, the image forming apparatus executes initialization of an inductance sensor while taking fogging toner into consideration when the detected current value is greater than an assumed current in a temperature of the image forming apparatus body detected by an environment sensor (S108, S109). For example, toner is supplied to a developing container for an amount corresponding to a difference between the detected current value and the assumed current, and the initialization initializing a setting of the inductance sensor is executed thereafter. |
