PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a video recording reproduction apparatus capable of appropriately deleting a program recorded in a recording medium.SOLUTION: A video recording reproduction apparatus comprises: a program recording unit 7 for recording a plurality of programs composed of at least video data; an operation input unit 901 for receiving an instruction to delete a first program recorded in the program recording unit 7; a deletion program information recording unit 8 for recording reproduction information of the first program, when receiving the instruction; a reproduction unit 5 for reproducing a second program; a determination unit 6 for determining whether or not a second program is already viewed on the basis of a stop position of the second program and reproduction information on the first program, when reproduction of the second program by the reproduction unit 5 is stopped; and a processing unit 9 for setting the second program as a deletion or overwrite object, when it is determined that the second program is already viewed. |
