PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information acquisition device and an object detection device mounted with the same, which can appropriately detect a distance to a detection object even when laser light of a plurality of wavelength bands is emitted from a laser light source of a single mode in actual measurement.SOLUTION: An information acquisition device 1 includes: a projection optical system 100; a light-receiving optical system 200; a laser control unit 21a; memory 26 for holding a reference template based on a reference image; and a distance acquisition unit 21b for acquiring distance information on the basis of a positional relation between a segment area on the reference image and a comparison area on an actually measured image for the segment area. The laser control unit 21a amplifies or attenuates a driving current of a laser light source 110 on the basis of the determination that the laser light source 110 is shifted from a single mode oscillation state to a multimode oscillation state. Thus, a temperature of the laser light source 110 is adjusted so as to oscillate laser light in a single mode.
