PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a semiconductor light-emitting device with further excellent luminous efficiency and to provide a method of manufacturing the same.SOLUTION: A semiconductor light-emitting device includes: a light-emitting layer 2 having a first primary surface M1 and a second primary surface M2 that is the opposite surface to the first primary surface M1, and including a plurality of semiconductor layers; a first electrode 5 and a second electrode 6 formed on the second primary surface M2; a translucent layer 3 formed on the first primary surface M1 and having translucency; a first metal post 7 formed on the first electrode 5 so as to be electrically connected to the first electrode 5; a second metal post 8 provided on the second electrode 6 so as to be electrically connected to the second electrode 6; and a translucent sealing layer provided on the second primary surface M2, sealing the first metal post 7 and the second metal post 8 so as to expose an end portion of the first metal post 7 and an end portion of the second metal post 8, and covering side surfaces of the light-emitting layer 2. |
