PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small-sized deodorizing device with high odor material removing performance, capable of efficiently irradiating a photocatalyst configuring a photocatalyst filter with ultraviolet rays, and efficiently bringing air to be cleaned into contact with the photocatalyst.SOLUTION: A small-sized deodorizing device is a deodorizing device including: a photocatalyst filter comprising a reaction vessel for circulating air and the nonwoven fabric of fibers having a photocatalyst function disposed inside the reaction vessel; and an ultraviolet ray LED unit disposed inside the reaction vessel so as to irradiate the photocatalyst filter with ultraviolet rays. The fiber is a silica-based composite oxide fiber composed of the composite oxide of an oxide phase (first phase) mainly composed of a silica component and a metal oxide phase (second phase) containing titanium, the ultraviolet ray LED unit faces the end face of the fiber configuring the photocatalyst filter, and is installed so that the ultraviolet rays irradiated from the ultraviolet ray LED unit are introduced into the first phase of the fiber. |
