PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reflection type photoelectric sensor which reflects and refracts mirror face reflection light generated on an interface between a switch outside and a protection member toward a direction that is not on a light reception side, thereby preventing erroneous detection of the photoelectric sensor, having excellent durability and moreover allowing easy manufacturing.SOLUTION: A reflection type photoelectric sensor is provided with: a light projection section equipped with a projection lens for collecting light from a light projection element and radiating it; a light reception section equipped with a light reception lens for collecting light, which is radiated from the light projection section and reflected by a reflection body, to guide the collected light to a light reception element; and a protection member for protecting the light projection section and the light reception section. In this reflection type photoelectric sensor, a substantially arc-shaped groove is formed at a position on the protection member, which lies on a line equal in distances from the light projection element and the light reception element. |
