PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus capable of providing a ceramic joint body which hardly causes misalignment in an axial center of material to be jointed and can have higher strength of a jointed region.SOLUTION: An apparatus 1 for producing a ceramic joint body includes: a pair of grip means 3A, 3B which have grip portions 31 capable of gripping jointed materials 10A, 10B on their side faces in a cantilever fashion, the grip portions 31 being arranged opposite each other; heating means 4 which are arranged between the grip means 3A, 3B, and can heat end faces of the materials 10A, 10B to be jointed in a butted state; and pressurizing means 6 which can press the end faces by pressing the grip means 3A, 3B. The grip means 3A, 3B are configured to grip the materials 10A, 10B to be jointed in a horizontal state so that the end faces butt against each other while the axial centers of the materials to be jointed are aligned with each other, and have rotation portions capable of rotating the materials to be jointed while the end faces are made to butt against each other, synchronously in the same direction at the same speed. |
