PURPOSE: A safety candle is provided to prevent a fire and to improve safety of use by separating a wick plate from the candle when the candle falls down. CONSTITUTION: A safety candle has a wick plate which is installed in the upper part of a candle(10). The wick plate consists of an upper plate(24) and a lower plate(25) and has a wick(21) therein. The upper part of the wick is protruded through a wick hole formed in the upper plate. A plurality of holes are formed in the lower plate of the wick plate. Molten liquid from the candle flows to the wick through the holes. When the candle falls down, the flow of molten liquid is suspended and the candle is extingushed. |
