PURPOSE: A manhole cover locking device is provided to prevent noise due to the motion of a manhole cover and the escape of the manhole cover from a manhole frame and to facilitate the maintenance of a manhole by minimizing effects caused by external environmental factors and foreign substances. CONSTITUTION: A manhole cover locking device comprises a manhole frame (100), a manhole cover (200), a supporting unit, a supporting plate, a locking unit, a fastening unit (600), and an elastic spring. The manhole cover is laid on the ring-shaped stepped part (110) of the manhole frame. The supporting unit is integrated with the manhole cover and supports the locking unit to horizontally move. The supporting plate is formed between the supporting unit and the guide groove (212) of the manhole cover. The supporting plate supports the lower end of the fastening unit. The locking unit applies the elasticity of the elastic spring from the center of the manhole cover to the ring-shaped stepped part to fix the manhole cover to the manhole frame. The fastening unit pushes the locking unit and is restored to bind or release the manhole frame and the manhole cover. The elastic spring applies elasticity to the locking unit to be placed on a locking position. |
