Then, a clutch 31 is operated from a release state to an engagement state, and an engine 2 is started simultaneously with the operation. Thereby, when the rotation speed of the output shaft 4 is high, the engine 2 is started, and then the brake 30 is operated from the engagement state to the release state. Then, a rotation speed of the engine 2 is controlled so that the rotation speed of the ring gear Ri approaches the rotation speed of the output shaft 4, and the clutch 31 is operated from the release state to the engagement state. Thereby, a travelling mode is switched from an EV mode to a series parallel hybrid mode respectively.
