PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shock absorber which can attain quality improvement.SOLUTION: A shock absorber is equipped with a cylinder 11 in which a working fluid is enclosed, a hollow piston rod 18 whose one end side is inserted into the cylinder 11 and other end side protrudes to exterior of the cylinder 11, a piston 15 connected to the one end side of the piston rod 18, compartmentalizing the interior of the cylinder 11 into two chambers 16, 17, a metering pin 31 constituting a variable orifice 235 which is variable according to the displacement of the piston rod 18 to the cylinder 11, the one end side of which being fixed to the cylinder 11 side, and at the same time, the other end side of which being inserted into the interior of the piston rod 18, wherein it is constituted by providing a ring member 302 so as to be movable in a radial direction in the one end side of the piston rod 18, of which the inner circumference forms the variable orifice 235, and into which the metering pin 31 being inserted. |
