PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water treatment method capable of simultaneously and stably lowering both of an NOx-N concentration and a PO-P concentration in treated water to be discharged even when a nitrogen load and/or a phosphorus load fluctuates at the level of several minutes to about one hour.SOLUTION: A water treatment method includes: a nitrification/dephosphorization step of biologically oxidizing wastewater containing nitrogen and phosphorus, and thereafter, or simultaneously with the oxidation treatment, adding an inorganic coagulant to the waster and fixing phosphate-phosphorus; a solid-liquid separation step of subjecting the wastewater obtained after the nitrification/dephosphorization step to solid-liquid separation, and obtaining treated wastewater which is the liquid portion thereof; and a denitrification step of biologically denitrifying the treated wastewater. |
