PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To identify the presence of toner in a housing part with high accuracy even if the amount of toner adhered on a wall surface of the housing part housing the toner changes according to the environment.SOLUTION: An image forming device includes: a developing unit 4; a buffer part 30 for storing toner to be supplied to the developing unit 4; a capacitive sensor 32a provided on a wall surface of the buffer part 30 to detect a dielectric constant between an electrode 40a and an electrode 41a; a capacitive sensor 32b provided on a wall surface of the buffer part 30 to detect a dielectric constant between an electrode 40b and an electrode 41b having a larger distance than between the electrode 40a and the electrode 41a; and a CPU 120 that identifies whether the amount of toner in the buffer part 30 is equal to or larger than a target amount, on the basis of an output voltage Va of the capacitive sensor 32a and an output voltage Vb of the capacitive sensor 32b. |
