PURPOSE: An opening and closing device for a moon pool of a drillship is provided to prevent seawater from flowing into a moon pool when a drill ship moves by closing the moon pool. CONSTITUTION: An opening and closing device (36) for a moon pool of a drillship comprises an opening and closing cover (38a, 38b), rotary shafts (42), and driving force transfer units (48). The opening and closing cover is divided into two parts to open and close a moon pool (34). The rotary shafts are arranged on the front ends of the divided opening and closing covers. The driving force transfer units are connected to the rotary shafts and the drive shafts (46) of driving sources (44) and open and close the moon pool by rotating the opening and closing cover. |
