PURPOSE: An isoindolinone-based antioxidative compound isolated from Daldinia concentric is provided to have an antioxidative property and to be industrially used as a functional material of health foods and/or cosmetic products as well as an antioxidant. CONSTITUTION: A compound of structural formula 1 is isolated from Daldinia concentric. A method for preparing an isoindolinone-based antioxidative compound of structural formula 1, isolated from Daldinia concentric, comprises the steps of: extracting crushed Daldinia concentric using C1-C6 aliphatic alcohol; extracting the alcohol extract of Daldinia concentric with each solvent such as hexane, chloroform, ethyl acetate, and butanol and obtaining each solvent extract; performing silica gel column chromatography of the ethyl acetate solvent extract with an elution solution containing chloroform (0-98 %, v/v) and methanol (2-100 %, v/v) and obtaining an eluted liquid; performing Sephadex LH-20 column chromatography of the eluted liquid using a methanol elution solution and preparing a fraction; eluting the fraction in 65-75 % methanol using Sepak cartridge; and performing high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) of the eluted liquid and isolating the compound of structural formula 1. |
