PURPOSE: A lamp control device using navigation information and a method thereof are provided to automatically control the rotation angle of a lamp based on information provided from a navigation, thereby providing the proper visual information about the front of a vehicle to a driver. CONSTITUTION: A navigation (100) provides road curvature information within a critical distance. A curvature operation unit (200) computes the maximum value of the road curvature based on the road curvature information received from the navigation. The curvature operation unit includes a real time position extracting unit (210), an inflection point extracting unit (220), and a maximum absolute value operation part (230). The curvature operation unit computes the absolute value of maximum value among road curvature values extracted within the critical distance. A control unit (300) controls the lamp irradiation angle of vehicle based on the maximum value of computed road curvature.
