<p>The system (1) has a cylindrical base body (3) comprising optical fiber element (7) carrying a collimator (8) at an end to couple the element to an imaging system (10) e.g. charge coupled device (CCD) camera, to realize an image from light emitted through the element and to a light source (9). The source injects the light into the element, where the light is prolonged into the body until a fluid flow passage and into a body of a needle (4) until to vicinity of a free end (4a) of the needle. The element is connected to the body at an interface between the body and the passage.</p> |
