The assembly (1) has a connection element (16) mounted to move in an opening frame, and another connection element (18) attached at an end (2) of a door chain or opening limiter arm (4). A latching unit assembles the connection elements. An unlatching unit neutralizes action of the latching unit to disassemble the connection elements. A tenon is inserted into an opening to actuate the latching unit of the connection elements. The latching unit includes a movable and/or deformable latching element engaged with a groove. An independent claim is also included for a door or window.
