The ring (1) has an annular clamping groove opening radially towards outside and for receiving two annular flanges (20, 22) of two parts (14, 16) that exhibit a cylindrical or circular cross-section. The ring is designed such that the ring is brought from a deployed position to a retracted position by elastic deformation for allowing passage of the flanges to clamp the two parts. The groove is formed in V-shape or trapezoidal shape. The ring is made of steel such as A286 steel, 60SC7 steel or XC80 steel.
