<p>An endoscopic device (1) comprises: a light source device (4) that irradiates a subject with at least one illuminating light having a prescribed wavelength band; an imaging element (2) that images the light returning from the subject on the basis of the irradiation of the illuminating light from the light source device (4); a video processor (7); and an observation monitor (5). After the imaging by the imaging element (2), a band decomposition processing unit (104) of the video processor (7) carries out a process which decomposes a first image signal (P1), which has a spectral characteristic peak wavelength between a wavelength band including the maximum value in the absorption characteristic of the body tissue and a wavelength band at the minimum value, into a plurality of space frequency bands. An enhancement processing unit (101a) of the video processor (7) carries out enhancement processing on the basis of the band image signal having the lowest space frequency among the plurality of band image signals obtained by the decomposition processing, and generates an image signal that has undergone enhancement correction.</p> |
