A backlight module and a liquid crystal display. The backlight module comprises a rubber frame (20), and side frames (201, 202) of the rubber frame (20) are provided with adjustable length. Each side frame (201, 202) with adjustable length comprises at least two sub-portions (21, 22) slideably connected, and therefore the rubber frame (20) can be configured flexibly according to the size of the liquid crystal display without producing the rubber frame (20) by configuring specific molds for liquid crystal displays with different sizes, so the cost is reduced, and the production efficiency is improved.
