Provided in an embodiment of the present invention are a key information processing method and device. In the embodiment of the present invention, a network side device generates reserved time information, the reserved time information being used to indicate the key information reserved time of the network side device, and further transmits the reserved time information to a terminal device, such that the terminal device can perform a corresponding wireless LAN authentication operation according to the reserved time information. In the prior art, the key information reserved time of the network side device is inconsistent with that of the terminal device, causing the terminal device to perform unnecessary wireless LAN authentication operations. The present invention avoids the problem, thus saving network resources and transmission bandwidth.
