PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a video conference system which permits terminal devices of different manufacturers and different models to be connected, makes it possible to create minutes of video with voices and captions attached, and not to require that the languages of conference participants (speakers) be limited to a specific language when creating the minutes.SOLUTION: Minutes information (video information and voice information) is gathered at each of terminals 11 to 1n (other map) installed in a sitting room of video conference participants and, on the basis of this information, minutes of video with voices and captions attached is created by a minutes creation unit 308 of an MCU 31. Voice information recognition processing needed for the creation of minutes also is executed in real time by a voice recognition unit 307 of the MCU 31 for each of the terminals. The voice recognition result can be attached as caption to the video information via a caption creation unit 309. |
