PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composite positive electrode active material capable of providing excellent battery stability as well as excellent charge and discharge efficiency and high capacity in a low-temperature atmosphere.SOLUTION: A composite positive electrode active material contains, relative to 100 pts.wt. of the composite positive electrode active material: 80 to 98 pts.wt. of a positive electrode active material expressed by the following chemical formula 1; 1 to 15 pts.wt. of activated carbon; and 1 to 5 pts.wt. of carbon black. The specific surface area of the activated carbon is in the range of 800 to 3000 m/g and the specific surface area of the carbon black is in the range of 1000 to 2000 m/g. The chemical formula 1 is defined by xLiMnO-(1-x)LiMO, where M is one or more elements selected from among Mg, Ni, Co, Cr, Al, V, Fe, Cu, Zn, Ti, Sr, Mn, B and La and x satisfies 0<x<1. |
