PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance engagement strength between a tool body and a connection member without damaging the tool body or a punch.SOLUTION: A cylindrical attachment part 21 of a connection member 2 formed of a metallic material having hardness lower than that of a tool body 1 formed of a hard material is inserted into a mounting hole 16 having a recessed part 17 on the inner peripheral surface of the tool body 1. The attachment part 21 is deformed plastically so that the diameter thereof is expanded, and the outer peripheral surface thereof is stuck fast to the inner peripheral surface of the mounting hole 16 and engaged with the recessed part 17 to join the tool body 1 and the connection member 2. The recessed 17 part has: a first wall surface 17a which goes toward the outer peripheral side as the attachment part 21 goes toward an insertion direction F side; and a second wall surface 17b which goes toward an inner peripheral side while being opposed to the first wall surface 17a as the attachment part goes toward the insertion direction F side. A first tilt angle α which is formed between the first wall surface 17a and a plane S perpendicular to the center line of the mounting hole 16 at such a position that the first wall surface has a crossing with the inner peripheral surface of the mounting hole 16 is made smaller than a second tilt angle &bgr; which is formed between the second wall surface 17b and the plane S at such a position that the second wall surface has a crossing with the inner peripheral surface of the mounting hole 16.
