PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronically controlled brake system configured to reduce the displacement of a brake pedal toward a driver when a vehicle collision occurs.SOLUTION: A stroke simulator is connected to a master passage for connecting a master cut valve to a master cylinder, and connected to/disconnected from the master cylinder by opening/closing a simulator cut valve. A through hole 140 and a pressure reducing valve 142 are provided between the simulator cut valve and the stroke simulator. During the normal brake operation, flow resistance is applied to brake fluid flowing into the stroke simulator by the through hole 140, to obtain operational feeling corresponding to the depression of a brake pedal. When a vehicle collision occurs, a hydraulic pressure difference between before and behind a valve element 152 exceeds the set value, and the pressure reducing valve 142 is opened, accordingly. The brake fluid is discharged at high flow rate to the stroke simulator. Retraction of the master cylinder to an input rod is rapidly permitted. Excessive retraction of the brake pedal can be properly controlled. |
