PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve positioning accuracy in image composition while maintaining a high resolution that an image has.SOLUTION: A control method of an imaging device for dividing an imaging object area into a plurality of division areas, performing imaging, and generating a composite image of an area larger than the division area by compositing the obtained images of the respective division areas includes the steps of: acquiring a first image and a second image for each of the plurality of division areas; positioning the image between the adjacent division areas by using the second image; and generating a composite image by compositing the first images with each other between the adjacent division areas according to the result of positioning using the second image. The second image is an image for which the depth of a field or a focal position or both of them are different from that of the first image. |
