PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of suppressing flicker without complicating a configuration.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus comprises: an image forming part that forms a toner image on a recording material; a fixing device that uses electric power supplied from an AC power source to heat the toner image and fixes it on the recording material; a power source that includes a power factor corrector, generates a DC voltage from the AC power source and supplies power from a primary side directly connected to the AC power source to a secondary side not contacting the AC power source in the image forming apparatus; temperature regulation control means that allows/shuts off current feed from the AC power source to the fixing device on the basis of wave number control; and current feed control means that allows/shuts off the current feed from the AC power source to the power factor corrector. The current feed control means shuts off the current feed to the power factor corrector before a predetermined period when the temperature regulation control means shuts off the current feed to the fixing device, and it allows the current feed to the power factor corrector when the temperature regulation control means shuts off the current feed to the fixing device. |
