[Problem] To provide a communication device in a data transfer system, and a power-saving method for the same, capable of preventing element deterioration when sending a confirmation signal during the sleep mode, and achieving lower transmission noise and reduced power consumption. [Solution] A communication device connected to another communication device by transmitting and receiving links corresponding to each of a plurality of channels, the communication device having: communication units (13-1 to 13-N, and 14-1 to 14-N) respectively corresponding to the plurality of channels; and a control unit (10) for cutting off a transmission output of the communication means when there is no transmission data, and for sequentially switching, from among the plurality of channels, the channel for transmitting a confirmation signal for confirming the link status during the period that the transmission output is cutoff. |
