摘要 The problem addressed by the present invention is providing a honeycomb shaped porous ceramic body, a manufacturing method for the same, and a honeycomb shaped ceramic separation membrane structure such that when separation cells that have a separation layer disposed on an intermediate layer and slit cells that do not have an intermediate layer disposed therein are present, slit cracks do not easily occur. A separation membrane structure (1) has partition walls (3) formed by a honeycomb shaped porous ceramic body (9) in which a plurality of pores are formed and cells (4) that form flow paths for fluid by means of those partition walls (3) are formed therein. Separation cells (4a) and slit cells (4b) are provided for the cells (4). The separation cells (4a) have an intermediate layer disposed therein on the surface of a base material (30) and, further, have a separation layer formed thereon. The intermediate layer has a structure in which aggregate particles are bonded to each other by an inorganic binder with a coefficient of thermal expansion that is the same as the aggregate particles or higher.
