A 3D display device and a working method thereof are provided. The 3D display device comprises: a display screen(10) displaying two-dimensional left eye images and right eye images, a magnetic field apparatus(20) arranged in front of a light-out surface of the said display screen(10) for generating a variable magnetic field to rotate the polarization surface direction of linearly polarized light emitted by the display screen(10), the variable frequency of the magnetic field is synchronous with the refresh frequency of the left eye images and right eye images of the display screen(10).
