Provided is an inexpensive hot forging die which enables even a large-sized forging material to obtain a desired shape. A hot forging die for hot closed die forging of a material to be forged is configured by a plurality of ring-shaped die pieces being concentrically combined with each other and fastened, the axial direction of the ring-shaped die pieces is a pressing direction when the material to be forged is forged, and in a portion, which is in contact with the material to be forged, of the hot forging die, a die face is formed and a build-up layer of nickel-base super heat-resistant alloy is formed. |
