A method for obtaining a driving force, setting a conductive element in translational motion and a device for realising this method, consists in cyclically repeating, in the magnetic field, two stages of movement of the conductive element (1), thereby obtaining, on this element (1), an action of the driving force, the direction of which is preferably perpendicular to the vector direction of the conductive element (1). The free charges present in the conductive element (1) are allowed to flow from the end of the conductive element to its beginning, through fasteners (2) and a connecting cable (4) so that the force (F1) derived from the Lorentz forces acting on the charges confined in the crystal lattice of the conductive element (1), and the force (F2) derived from the Lorentz forces, acting on the free charges of the conductive element (1), cease to balance each other. A device for realising this method, allows the rotor of the electrical machine or the whole machine to move with translational motion in the artificial or natural magnetic field of the Earth or other planets and stars. This solution may be used in electrical machines, primarily for the propulsion and control of various types of other machinery and equipment, especially flying machines.
