PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing unit provided with a rotary member capable of withstanding large rotation driving force, and further to provide an image forming device.SOLUTION: A fixing unit comprises: a rotary member that has a cylindrical shape, is rotated in a circumferential direction of a cylinder, has grooves that pass through from outside to inside of the cylinder and extend from an end portion side of the cylinder to a central portion side at an end portion of the cylinder, receives rotation driving force by the grooves and has protrusion portions protruding in directions intersecting with a peripheral wall of the cylinder at edges of front sides of the grooves in a rotation direction; a pressing member for fixing a toner image on a surface of a recording medium by holding and pressing the recording medium holding an unfixed toner image on the surface between the pressing member and the rotary member; a heat source for applying heat to the recording medium held by the rotary member and the pressure member therebetween; and a driving member that has fitting portions fitted into the grooves of the rotary member and brought into contact with the protrusion portions at places spaced apart from the peripheral wall of the cylinder and applies the rotation driving force to the rotary member via the fitting portions. |
