PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an access point device capable of performing setting change to an optimum channel following a surrounding radio wave interference situation.SOLUTION: An access point device for performing radio communication with a slave device comprises: channel information retention means for retaining corresponding information showing an interference situation for each radio channel; channel scan means for retaining information showing an interference situation in the channel information retention means on the basis of a result obtained by performing a channel scan for each radio channel in a predetermined period at an interval during the radio communication; and channel setting means for setting a channel which corresponds to information showing an interference situation whose interference is the minimum of information showing interference situations retained in the channel information retention means at timing when the channel scan means has completed channel scans of all channels, as a channel to be used for radio communication with the slave device.
