PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To properly detect abnormal contact of a nozzle of a welding torch with a work.SOLUTION: This device 1 for detecting contact of a welding torch includes a contact detecting means 6 for detecting the contact of a nozzle 3 with a work 4, based on a change of an impressed voltage, by impressing the voltage between the nozzle 3 of the welding torch 2 and the work 4 welded by the welding torch 2, and the contact detecting means 6 detects abnormal contact of the nozzle, based on a contact time in the contact of the nozzle 3 with the work 4 due to the change of the voltage. The contact detecting means 6 detects the abnormal contact of the nozzle, based on a contact time in the contact of the nozzle 2 with the work 4 due to the change of the voltage. |
