PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a binder resin composition for a nonaqueous secondary battery electrode which is superior in terms of electrolyte resistance, binding property, flexibility, charge and discharge cycle characteristics, and the rise in capacity, and which can be preferably used for a nonaqueous secondary battery and in addition, a lithium ion secondary battery.SOLUTION: The binder composition for a nonaqueous secondary battery electrode comprises a resin fine particle dispersion element. The dispersion element is composed of a resin fine particle arranged by emulsion polymerization of monomers including, to a total of 100 wt.% of ethylene unsaturated monomers, 1-60 wt.% of an ethylene unsaturated monomer (A) containing an acetoacetoxy group and 40-99 wt.% of an ethylene unsaturated monomer (B) other than the ethylene unsaturated monomer (A); the emulsion polymerization is performed by use of a radical polymerization initiator in water in the presence of a surfactant. |
