PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent intrusion of refuse into an upper end opening part of a cylindrical body engaging from the lower side in the axial direction with an adjuster on the outer periphery of a cylinder, and improve the appearance of the cylinder, in a spring load adjusting device of a hydraulic shock absorber for enabling an upper spring receiver to be vertically movable by driving the cylindrical body to the adjuster.SOLUTION: A spring load adjusting device 30 of a hydraulic shock absorber 10 is provided for enabling an upper spring receiver 16 to be vertically movable by driving a cylindrical body 40 to an adjuster 32, and formed so that the cylindrical body 40 fits a cover member 50 to the upper end opening part 46 for surrounding the outer periphery of the cylinder 11. |
