A nonwoven fiber sheet comprising a base material layer that is configured from a nonwoven fiber structure, said nonwoven fiber structure containing heat adhesive fibers and the fibers being fixed through the fusion of the heat adhesive fibers to each other, wherein the average thickness of the base material layer is controlled to not less than 0.2 mm and less than 1 mm, and the heat adhesive fibers are roughly uniformly fused together in the plane direction of the base material layer. This sheet may be provided with a top layer on at least one surface of the base material layer, said top layer being configured from a nonwoven fiber structure that has a higher apparent density than the base material layer. The top layer may be formed by hot pressing or configured from a meltblown nonwoven fabric. The heat adhesive fibers may be roughly uniformly fused together in the thickness direction of the base material layer. The heat adhesive fibers may contain an ethylene-vinyl alcohol-based copolymer continuously extending in the length direction on the fiber surface. Although having a small thickness, the aforementioned sheet has an improved flexural rigidity, shows little deformation under loading, and has an excellent moldability. |
