摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an excellent negative electrode material for a nonaqueous secondary battery having high capacity and being useful for improving rate characteristic, a negative electrode for the nonaqueous secondary battery using the same, the nonaqueous secondary battery, and peculiarly lithium ion secondary battery.SOLUTION: A negative electrode material for a nonaqueous secondary battery is characterized in that it contains carbonaceous particles (A) and silicon oxide particles (B), and the carbonaceous particle (A) has a carbon layer on at least part of a surface of a graphite particle. It is preferred that in the negative electrode material for the nonaqueous secondary battery, a coverage of the carbon layer for 100 mass% of the carbonaceous particle (A), is 0.1 to 10 mass%.
