PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fastening device and a control method by the same that can perform efficient fastening operation by preventing the total fastening time itself from being extended while having a reaction force reducing effect by intermittent drive, and also, can reduce burden of an operator due to generation of a reaction force.SOLUTION: A torque detection value or a toque output value during a time period in which rotative power is continuously imparted is time-integrated. An amount of work of an impulse is recognized, this amount being a product of: an acting time of a torque continuously acting on a wrench or a torque making the wrench act when the rotative power is continuously imparted; and one of these torques. Based on this recognized amount of work of the pulse, a target screw is controlled to be intermittently fastened by alternately repeating the imparting and temporary stop of the rotative power. |
