ACCENT IMPARTING DEVICE, ACCENT IMPARTING METHOD AND PROGRAM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To properly analyze an accent combination phenomenon even for a Japanese text comprising three or more words.SOLUTION: A morphological analysis unit 12 performs morphological analysis on an input Japanese text, and outputs a morpheme string. A verification phrase generation unit 14 inserts a Japanese character "no" into either one boundary of morphemes adjacent to each other in this morpheme string, and generates a plurality of kinds of phrases to be verified as to the morpheme string. An example retrieval unit 15 counts appearance frequency of the generated phrases to be verified in sentence corpus 22. An accent combination determination unit 16 determines whether or not an accent combination phenomenon occurs to a composite word in which two morphemes adjacent to each other in the position of inserting the character "no" in the morpheme string on the basis of the appearance frequency for each phrase to be verified. A result output unit 17 changes accent information about each of a plurality of morphemes that constitute the morpheme string on the basis of the determination result, and creates an accent about the input Japanese text.
