PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophotographic photoreceptor that suppresses imaging history of a previous image forming cycle from remaining in a subsequent cycle.SOLUTION: An electrophotographic photoreceptor includes a conductive support 2, and an undercoat layer 4, a charge generating layer 5, and a charge transport layer 6 that are provided on the conductive support 2 in this order. The undercoat layer 4 contains at least metal oxide particles, a reactive acceptor substance containing an anthraquinone structure having a hydroxyl group of a specific structure, and a binder resin; the charge generating layer 5 contains hydroxygallium phthalocyanine as a charge generating material; and reflectance of incident light having a wavelength of 780 nm on the surface of the charge generating layer 5 when the charge transport layer 6 is removed is 17% or more.
