PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an input device with slide type handheld means enabling an appropriate input when inputting information such as characters by a pen, without detecting a little finger of a hand holding the pen or a root part thereof.SOLUTION: A square frame-shaped input device A has a quadrangular hollow part S for input. A slide body (slide type handheld means) B slidable to the input device A is arranged on a frame of the input device A. A hand Q holding a pen P is designed to be placed on the slide body B when inputting characters by the pen P or a finger to the hollow part S for input of the input device A. The input device A includes a square frame-shaped optical waveguide W having the hollow part S for input, and is configured to detect a movement locus of the pen P by projecting and receiving light. |
