PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vortex prevention device which has a simple structure, does not degrade discharging performance of a pump and also can be easily mounted on an existing pump device.SOLUTION: A vortex prevention device 35 is mounted on a suction pipe 11 of a pump 10. The vortex prevention device 35 includes a suction plate 50 comprising a plurality of plate members which hang over approximately vertically downward from a suction port 11a of the suction pipe 11 and extend radially outward from the center of the suction port 11a. |
