PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a conveying roller which allows reduction in cost and weight, and furthermore suppresses fluctuation in conveyance and a cylindrical shaft suitably used for the conveying roller, and to provide a conveying unit and a printing apparatus using the conveying roller.SOLUTION: A cylindrical shaft 16 is formed into a cylindrical shape by means of pressing while allowing a pair of ends thereof to face each other, and has a seam 80 between the pair of ends. The seam 80 and a straight line parallel to a central axis 16a of the cylindrical shaft 16 on an outer periphery of the cylindrical shaft 16 are not superposed in a line segment manner, but superposed only at one or more points. |
